Exciting things are happening in our stationery store.
I'll admit it. I'm a paper and stationery geek.
I love the feel of quality paper, the smell of ink, and pretty stationery. Can you relate? If so, wait till you see what's coming up with our stationery store! If not, let me show you the beauty of letterpress printing.
I've been designing stationery and paper goods for almost 10 years now and I'm still in love with it. You can find some of my stationery designs and art prints at Minted, as well as wedding invitations and save the dates at Elli. I truly have enjoyed working with these two companies.
If I'm honest, though, something was missing. I wanted to create art prints that spoke to me, note cards that I'd want to use, and I wanted to work with local small businesses. So after a lot of thinking, planning, learning, and struggles along the way (not to mention love and support from family and friends), I've made a major decision.
I'm creating brand new products for my website that you won't find anywhere else. And that includes letterpress art prints.
I love the feel of letterpress.
If you don't know, letterpress printing is a relief printing process. It involves putting artwork on a plate, inking the raised plate and pressing it into slightly cushiony paper. That leaves an impression in the paper that creates a wonderful textural feel and adds depth to invitations and other pieces, like art prints.
Last week I had the pleasure of going on a press check for a letterpress art print I'm designing for my new stationery shop. After looking into printing services, specifically local printers, and asking for recommendations from a few of my fellow designer friends, I decided to work with Fernando at Elefant Press. I love supporting small businesses and especially loved the idea that these were going to be printed by a skilled person by hand. He did not disappoint! I can see why he came highly recommended.
I can't wait for you to see the end result! I'm super happy with how they turned out. Not only do they look great and have a wonderful feel in your hand, they're also encouraging. As with quite a few items that will be for sale in my new stationery and paper goods store, this art print reminds us to embrace the qualities that make us unique.
Feel good paper goods (literally and figuratively).
That will be a reoccurring theme in the shop...encouragement, positivity, and pretty pieces that help you connect with not only loved ones but with your inner self. Have you been looking for a specific kind of card or a particular sentiment that you just can't find anywhere? Let me know in the comments below. I want to help you find the right stationery or giftable item that speaks to you.

While I'm putting the finishing touches on the new website, check out my Minute Messages. They're a sheet of nine little notes that help you share your love and encouragement with the people you care about. They're easy peasy and FREE for you to use.
